XSAT Ground Station

The ground segment for XSAT micro-satellite consists of 2 elements: One is the TT&C Mission ground station which is situated in NTU, Technoplaza, and the other is the Data Reception (X-Band) at CRISP (Centre for Remote Imaging and Sensing and Processing) situated at NUS.

(a) TT&C mission ground station at NTU

The hardware (antenna and micro-wave) component is an acquired system from Integral Systems of US, while the software would be mainly developed in-house within NTU.

NTU TTC Ground Station

Currently, the Figure of Merit G/T @2200MHz is 16.5 dB/K.

(b) CRISP Data Reception Facility at NUS

The current intention is to use the 13m antenna systems at CRISP (NUS) to perform the reception of imagery data.
