Important Notices for Users
Note: DO NOT connect your computer to the campus wireless LAN and wired LAN at the same time. You may cause serious network outages in such a setup, thereby inconveniencing other campus users.
Remember, if you're on wireless LAN, unplug from the wired LAN and vice versa

The wireless network however does not extend to the Innovation Centre, Halls, Staff Quarters, and Graduate Housing at this moment.
Security on Wireless LAN
While wireless has its convenience, it also comes with inherent risks as well. For full data privacy when connecting to the wireless LAN, you are strongly adviced to use the VPN (Virtual Private Network) service to "dial-out" of NTUwireless (as you normally would using VPN on the Internet to access NTU). To safeguard your privacy and improve the security on the Internet, campus network or the wireless network, our Stafflink, Studentlink, GSlink, Webmail, etc. e-services uses only SSL (Secure Socket Layer) i.e. https. SSL provides session-based encryption to keep your data confidential. It is a standard supported by major web-browsers like Internet Explorer and Netscape Communicator for secured data transmissions.
If you notice the following lock icons  or  in your Internet Explorer or Netscape Communicator browser, it shows that SSL has already been enabled. This level of security is sufficient for most campus users.

If you're already on wireless LAN, DO NOT connect to the wired LAN at the same time!
Please unplug your wired connection immediately
- Do not setup your own Wi-Fi or WLAN base station on the campus network
- Do not copy or share copyrighted materials over the campus network
- Please install a reputable anti-virus software on your computer
- Regularly patch and update your computer security/critical fixes and always keep your anti-virus software updated. To learn more, click here
