TOEFL [Also refer to "Admissions & Recruitment"]

Applicants from Asian countries (except Australia, New Zealand and Singapore) are required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).

Please refer to the official website at http://www.toefl.org for further information on test centres and dates.

Paper-based GRE [Also refer to "Admissions & Recruitment"]

Please note that students from China/Taiwan/HK/Korea are required to take the paper-based GRE General Test. The paper-based GRE score slip should be sent to the SSP office as soon as it is available. Therefore, you should immediately sign up for the next paper-based test being conducted in your city/country.

Applicants from all other countries can take the computer-based or paper-based General Test. The GRE General Test is given year-round at computer-based test centers in many countries. Please visit the ETS website for further information and regular updates on the test dates: http://www.gre.org/testdate.html#cbdates .

For Indian applicants, either GRE or GATE score is accepted. The GATE test is usually held in February.

Note that GRE or GATE scores must be received by the SSP Office before Dec. 31 2005 for application to the June 2006 MS program.
