Structure Connections
Research Group
The
current research projects include studies on the structural
behaviors of multiplanar tubular joints, completely
overlap joints, doubler plate reinforced joints, composite
connections and beam-column connections. Structural
aspects like ultimate load carrying capacity, stress
concentration factor and fatigue strength are investigated.
Parametric equations and unified equations are proposed
to facilitate fast and easy design calculations. The
study on reinforced concrete beam-column joints includes
modeling at the ultimate limit state and the overall
behavior of joints with eccentricities. Special emphasis
is also placed on lightly reinforced beam-column joints
under cyclic loading.
