ABOUT THE SiF

The SiF conference provides a forum for experts in the fire resistance research field from around the world to meet biennially and to exchange views of professional interest.

The conference, first created in 2000, was held in Copenhagen, Denmark. It was subsequently rotated to Christchurch, New Zealand in 2002, Ottawa, Canada in 2004 and Aveiro, Portugal in 2006. Singapore is the first Asian country to host this event.

Similar to the previous conferences, SiF'08 will provide sufficient time for discussion after each presentation. There will be only one working session at any point in time; no parallel tracks will be arranged.
