Print in draft quality whenever possible

Think before you print. Only print if you absolutely must and print in draft quality to save your precious time and ink. Text printed in this way uses a lot less ink and is still perfectly legible. Printing is also faster in this mode.

How to configure a printer to print in draft-mode in Windows XP:

1. Click on the Start button and then choose Control Panel from the menu.
2.On the window that opens, click Printers and Faxes.
3.Right-click on the printer that you want to configure and choose Printing Preferences… to open its configuration window.
4.On the Paper/Quality tab, look for a Print Quality section. Some printers may not have it. If it is there, choose Draft, Fast, EconoMode or Toner Saver depending on the printer settings available to you.
5.If you are using a colour printer and wish to conserve expensive colour ink, select the Color tab and choose Print in Grayscale or Black & White.
6.Hit OK to save settings.
